The crystal and crafts now are processed mostly by workingman in traditional way. The workingmen are required to have proficient technology, and there may be some differences for one kind of product made by one man, so it is not suitable to process in large quantity.
In recent years, molding technology is used in crystal arts and crafts process.
For the molding method, the first is to cut the glass blanks into a certain quantity in weight. Then soften them in electrical-heating furnace, after this the blanks are put into iron mould. Finally they are cooled to room temperature in certain condition.
Molding technology has two outstanding advantages, one is it improves not only the speed but also the dimension accuracy. The other is it can save about 1/3 percent of material.
